A town with a mysterious charm where nostalgia and newness intersect, that is Mojiko Retro District.
Once a thriving international trading port, this area is now a popular tourist spot in Fukuoka Prefecture. The town is attractive because it incorporates modern elements while carefully preserving old buildings.
On the day of the Kitakyushu Cycle Festival, this aid station will be visited on all 100km, 60km, and 30km courses.
The brick-built Mojiko Station, located along the course, is a must-see tourist attraction. Once inside the station building, you will feel like you have wandered into a scene from an old movie. You can also enjoy the spectacular view of the Kanmon Strait from the promenade along the sea.
At dusk, the nostalgic street lights start to light up, creating an even more romantic atmosphere. Whether you love history, photography, or food, Mojiko Retro District is a town full of charm that everyone can enjoy.
There are also lots of fun photo spots scattered around, such as the Bananaman statue and the yellow postboxes that are said to bring happiness. Why not try to find these and take a photo with your favorite car?
